The Real is Virtual — ‘The Real is Virtual’ is a personal venture into the digital atmosphere. The world that can be perceived through the senses exudes an aura that is believed cannot be digitized. I tried to generate visual work by playing with this idea of the undigitizable, 3D-rendered footage being the medium.
Questioning where our ‘real’ life ends and where the virtual one starts, I have been manipulating various ways of capturing physical forms to project them into the digital realm. Intricate plants were photographed and manually pieced together into 3D models and textures, which later turned into uncanny atmospheric video installations.
